A modern townhouse, so relatively little maintenance, a nice quiet road, plenty of space to park, and an enormous garden. What's not to like?
The bedrooms have great space, the kitchen is lovely and looks over the garden. The conservatory is really another reception room and was warm on a brisk winter's day. Garaging for a car has been sliced in half for a second reception room (vital for children/teenagers/a successful marriage) and the remaining space gives great storage - bikes, general paraphernalia.
Trinity Church Road runs parallel to the river, just south of Hammersmith Bridge, in the Barnes Waterside development which has grown up around the Harrods Depository. Barnes is one of London's most popular residential areas, and some of the best schools in the country are to be found here, including St Paul's, Colet Court and The Harrodian.
The river plays a major role in life here, with the University Boat Race a highlight of the year; Barnes Common provides a huge open space, but a saunter down the towpath is just as entertaining and will lead you to the Wetlands Centre where you can explore the wonderful wildlife.
Communications are excellent: Barnes Station has 6 trains an hour into Clapham Junction and Waterloo, or you could nip over the river to Hammersmith (District, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City). Both Gatwick (by train) and Heathrow are easily accessed, as are the M3/M4 motorways.
