Putney Heath, a vast plateau of woodland and open glades criss-crossed with paths, is popular for picnics and has a cricket ground.

Heathrow is 20 minutes (on a good day) and Putney Station is ideal for the City – between 15 and 19 minutes into Waterloo as well as the District Line at Putney Bridge.
